Come hear the word of God and fellowship with your
friends, only at the Fig Tree Cafe!! Don't know about The Fig
Tree Cafe? Shy about coming? Don't be, it's open to all
kids 10-18. Check out the video below for a sample of
what goes on...
The
Youth Hall at the Good
Shepherd UMC is the Fig Tree Cafe and is located at 207
Northfield Avenue (on the Bike Path, behind the Tilton
Market). The Cafe is open every Sunday Evening
with more hours being planned once the safe sanctuary policy is
finalized.
Back
in Jesus' time the Fig Tree was a place where young Rabbi's would go
to escape the heat and study in private, so is the Fig Tree Cafe the
same here. Come in under the branches of the Fig Tree, enjoy
our coffee house setting and the activities that are
available.

Save Ur Can
Tabs
One of the
ministries of the Cafe is to save the pull tabs from the tops of
soda, soup and other cans. These tabs are turned over to
Shriner's Hospital to help provide prosthetics for children.
We recently filled up 2 large containers that equated to a $100
donation to the hospital; a representative from Shriners will visit
the cafe in fall 2008 with a commendation certificate for the
accomplishment.
So
please remember to give us all your can tabs!
